First snow fall of 2010....

So 4 days into winter officially and we get slammed with about 20 inches of the white stuff. Beautiful if you don't have to go out in it driving, and if you do it's a nightmare. Public transit was shutdown early today and has yet to resume normal service in all areas. 

Waking up this morning to discover the wind had blown the snow around burying most of the vehicles in the surrounding blocks.  I'm quite sure it's not just in my area but throughout the entire city.  I took a walk tonight and there are areas where 3 feet of snow have accumulated.  Crazy how we went from warm weather to freezing cold.

Took a few more pics at night of my surrounding town, but didn't want to clutter my blog.  This is the front of my apartment and also a neighbor's bushes covered in snow.

An end to social networking.....

Social networks are great and awful all at the same time. Great for keeping in contact with friends and family, but a pain sometimes. In the past few years I have gone through fazes and tend to disable my account and re-enable it when I miss it. Not everyone on my "friends" list is a close friend I would be willing to share my life happenings, and so I find myself filtering out who can see what by putting people into groups. It's time consuming and a pain to maintain, did I mention it's time consuming?!?!?! Another issue is when friends or coworkers tag you in photos where I look like a fat cow or about to have a seizure from the flash. I don't photograph well and at this stage in life don't think I will get the hang of having my picture taken. It has been a life struggle since childhood to have me take a normal picture. My mind and facial muscles just don't seem to be coordinated enough to be able to function together. For the record I'll blame it on the flash. Needless to say for now I have disabled my account and have not plans for now to reactivate for awhile. Those people who really do matter or care to reach out to me will already have a means by which to reach me. For now I will revel in the silence of being disconnected.

Ok so after a few years in silence and non-productive trance I break my silence. I can't quaranty anything posted in this blog will be of any good use to anyone or entertaining for that matter. You're forewarned and can't hold me accountable for any detrimental injuries incurred by reading my blog whether it's real or imagined. A few months ago I moved back to Jersey City, in Jersey for those geographically challenged like myself. Nothing major or extraordinary has happened that's worth sharing to the populace of the internet. So with this tidbit of useless information I leave this grand universe called the internet.
